About Me(g).
Meg Higgins (LCSW) is 74 years young and living proof that life doesn’t slow down—it just gets louder, bolder, and a whole lot funnier. She is about being “worn out…not rust out.” With 44 years as a Clinical Therapist and a lifetime of “Megamiles” behind her, she’s not just the real deal—she’s the whole package. At 72, she jumped on stage as a stand-up comic. At 73, she base jumped off a cliff in Utah and has now returned back to the Midwest after jumping out of a marriage in California.
Born in St. Louis as child #3 of 10 (yes, ten), Meg’s been navigating chaos since birth. She’s lived in Chicago, Napa Valley, and San Diego. Over the past 13 years, she served as a therapist for the Navy, Air National Guard, Army and Air Force and wrote a monthly column for the Chicago Sun-Times, formerly hosting a weekly radio show as the “Love Goddess" Big 550 AM in St. Louis. She’s also the first woman foreman at Anheuser-Busch, a Woman of Achievement, and a mom to her 31-year-old son. Basically, if you’re looking for someone who’s been there, done that, and still has the mic—Meg’s your woman.
Her life philosophy? Go for living a self-examined life. Translation: learn from your messes, laugh at your mistakes, and turn your breakdowns into breakthroughs. Meg doesn’t just talk about healing—she edutains you through it. Whether she’s helping you figure out if it’s love, lust, or just loneliness, or asking if you’ve been “broke open or broken,” she’ll meet you where you are—with compassion, candor, and a killer sense of humor.
So give her a stage, a screen, or a phone, and Meg will light it up. She’s not here to fix you—she’s here to walk with you, laugh with you, and BE the guide along your life’s journey. Because as she always says: “Clean up your own backyard.” And if you don’t know where to start, Meg’s got a shovel, a story, and a sense of humor.

Megalaughs

Megalaughs.
Comedy with Credentials.
Megalaughs is not just a comedy performance—it’s a full-blown emotional exorcism wrapped in punchlines. Born from the brilliant chaos of a therapist-turned-comedian, Megalaughs dives headfirst into the messiness of being human and comes out swinging with humor that’s sharp, smart, and surprisingly healing. It’s where vulnerability meets absurdity, and the crowd doesn’t just laugh—they resonate.
One moment you’re howling at a joke about dating apps and emotional baggage, the next you’re nodding at a truth bomb about anxiety that hits a little too close to home. Megalaughs doesn’t shy away from the heavy stuff—it flips it, spins it, and serves it with a wink. It’s stand-up that doesn’t just entertain; it connects.
Whether you’re a seasoned comedy fan or someone who’s never seen a therapist but probably should, Megalaughs is your safe space to laugh at the chaos. It’s not group therapy, but it might be the next best thing—with better lighting and a two-drink minimum. Get her booked on your next comedy show!
